May 17th: H.A.P.P.Y (HIV Awareness Programme for Peers & Youth) Roadshow

Venue: Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Secondary School's multipurpose hall
Attendance: Form 4 students
About HAPPY:
Up until the end of the year 2007, a total number of 37 cases were recorded in Brunei Darussalam, with 7 local new HIV cases noted
With response to this, 4 youths made the initiative to spread the awareness on HIV related matters to their peers all over Brunei!
Programme’s objectives are:
To elevate awareness on HIV
To encourage behavioural changes
To assist the target group to make the right choices
To broaden the knowledge gained to peers

The programme will be facilitated by the Sentient Team and will be supported by Penyinar Club, Brunei Darussalam AIDS Council youth members
The progamme is under the B-@ktif Competition 2008, organised by Youth and Sports Department
Participants will be engaged in a mini-workshop sharing session, discussion, audios and visuals, Q&A, sing alongs, and even have different perspectives of their lives after the short programme
