About Science & Technology Week:
- An annual event first launched in 2004
- Aim to promote awareness on science and technology in the country
- Seminars and exhibitions by staff of the Faculty of Science, exhibitions by government and non-government agencies, ICT, and scientific equipment and products
- The 4th National Congress on Biology (ICT For Biology Teachers); UBD Free Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) Training for School Teachers; Hands-On Building Electronic Gadgets for Students; OGDC Tech Challenge Workshop for Secondary School Teachers; and OGDC Tech Challenge Competition for Tertiary Level Students
- Invited speakers from the Centre of International Cooperation for Computerisation (CICC-Japan) presentation's on open source software - June 28th 2007
- Hands-on activities involving the building of electronic gadgets - require participants to purchase an electronic kit sold at the S&T Week at $10 to $17
- Career talks - invited speakers from both government and private sectors
- Exhibition by various departments in public and private sectors
