It was built in 1914, just two years after the Titanic sank
World's largest floating book fair on board
Oldest active ocean-going passenger ship in the world
The MV Doulos has visited over 100 countries in Latin America, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Arabian Peninsula
Over 19 million people have climbed the ship's gangways over the past 28 years
Sheikhs, princes, prime ministers and presidents have greeted this "Grand Old Lady Of The Sea"
All the 300 crewmembers live on board and represent approximately 50 different nations serving on a voluntarily basis - sponsored by their family and friends
The crew has also been involved in providing long-term humanitarian aid in areas of great need or tragedy such as Sudan, Mozambique, India and Sri Lanka
Aside from the book fair, the public will also be treated to an international cultural show on board the ship

Tarikh akhir membayar Zakat Fitrah: Sebelum sembahyang Hari Raya
Tempat Kutipan Zakat Fitrah:
Masjid, surau dan balai ibadat jika amil-amil tersebut terdiri dari pegawai-pegawai masjid (imam dan bilal)
Rumah masing-masing jika amil yang terdiri dari pegawai-pegawai kerajaan (Penghulu, ketua kampong dan guru ugama)
Pejabat masing-masing (pegawai-pegawai pasukan beruniform (Askar, Polis, Bomba dan Penjara)
Kadar Zakat Fitrah mengikut KHEU:
Beras Wangi : $2.84 sen
Beras Siam : $1.93 sen
Kepentingan Zakat - Hadith :
Dari Ibnu Abbas r.a. katanya: “ Rasulullah SAW telah menentukan wajibnya zakat fitrah, untuk membersihkan orang yang mengerjakan puasa dari perkataan yang sia-sia dan perkataan yang buruk, dan juga untuk menjadi makanan orang-orang miskin, oleh itu sesiapa yang menunaikannya sebelum sembahyang hari raya maka menjadilah ia zakat fitrah yang makbul, dan sesiapa yang menunaikannya sesudah sembahyang hari raya maka menjadilah ia sedakah biasa seperti sedekah sunat yang lain.”

The public are invited to watch the 30-45 mins fireworks display
The display will be similar in height and pattern to the ones organised by a leading hotel during His Majesty's birthday celebrations
Fireworks display brought by Ak Sharifful Bahri bin PSI Pg Hj Ismail and Pg Adnan to commemorate the 40th anniversary of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's accession to the throne and to show their appreciation to the caring ruler
Prior to the event, a thanksgiving ceremony, which will also be attended by orphans, will be held at the house of PSI Hj Ismail bin Pg Hj Mohammad
If it rains on 1st Syawal, the fireworks display will be held the next day at the same time
